concentrating on this to keep me here

there is something special to me about this photo. i found it on google images. i would love to be in a place like that. in the cold, with a fire burning inside the cabin. just get away from the place im at right now. it would feel great to do that. i really wish i could travel up to my grandparents cabin. but school is getting in the way of that. its really pretty up there during the winter.

i know exactly what i would bring on a vacation like that:

1. Explosions In The Sky discography, Angels & Airwaves discography, and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.

2. at least 5 books, probably something inspirational.

3. a few notebooks and plenty of pens to write anything and everything down.

4. Wes Anderson's filmography.

5. a pair drum sticks.

of course i would also bring the essentials for survival; food, water, and warm clothing.

but that picture looks so peaceful to me. i dont think i would want to be there entirely on my own. maybe have someone go with me. i know exactly who i would choose to take with me. and im sure this type of vacation isnt totally out of the question of things we would probably do before we die.

i think ill mention this to my friend.

like the movies

i wish i could meet someone. more specifically, i wish i could meet some one like it happens in the movies.

during the summer of 1983, my mom and dad met on a beach. it was june or july, i cant really remember. my mom from delaware and my father from pennsylvanian. my dad went with his buddies to just hang at the beach for the weekend. it was a 3 hour (i think) drive from his city. my mother did the same thing, she went down to the beach for the weekend to hang and relax. the beach was in Ocean City, Maryland. anyways... my dad's friend said that he should meet this awesome girl (my mom). so they were introduced to each other that night at a bar on the ocean front. they walked along the beach and just liked each others company. before my dad headed back home, he gave his number to her. he tells me that thats the best way to do it, this way the ball is in her court. i guess he is smart with this thing seeing how i am here and alive today.

well she called him and he would travel 3 hours and spend almost every weekend in delaware with my mom. my mother would also travel every now and then to see him at his home.

so only a short 6 weeks after they met, my dad proposed to my mom. they got married on April 7, 1984. i asked my dad why he proposed in such little time. he told me that he just knew she was the one and that he didnt want to wait anylonger. he thought it would have been stupid to let her go.

i guess my point is that movies can happen in real life. you just have to watch for them. my mom and dad's story is proof right there!

i hope i follow in my parent's foot steps.

here's a pic of my mom and dad :)

as im watching Yes Man

im just sitting here watching Yes Man. i am currently getting over a really bad fever. im not too sure what i have/had. it really doesnt matter though, cause im getting over the sickness.

last time i blogged, i was talking about a new job and going back to school. well i did infact get my job back and im loving it. i dont have a lot of hours, but like i said, thats fine with me.

i went ahead and signed up for classes for Fall 2009. i got into classes that would lead me into majoring in English. Although a friend of mine recently told me about the Video Production at the college im wanting to attend. i looked into it and im really interested in doing it! later this week i plan on getting an appointment with an adviser to help me get on track to start majoring in Video Production this fall. if it turns out that im unable to get into the video production classes this fall, then ill either wait till spring 2010 or take a class or two in something just to keep me busy.

well thats all i got! i wish you all the best!

take care
